Awesome Animal - Whale

Who loves whales? For those whale lovers out there, here are some facts about them. Whales belong to the cetacea order, which includes porpoises, dolphins, and also whales. There are two divisions of whales : baleen and toothed. The baleen whales have a comb-like shape sticking out of their upper jaw which helps them filter out plankton, fish, crustaceans, or any other small animals they eat. Toothed whales have teeth, so they don't need the baleen. The teeth helps them eat their food by chewing on them. Baleen whales are normally larger than toothed whales. Just like bats, whales use echolocation to know their surroundings and whereabouts because they can't see very well.

Blue Whales are a type of baleen whales.

Orcas are a type of toothed whales.

Awesome Animal - White Giraffe

Recently I've read a book called The White Giraffe, and although it is fiction, it has brought my attention to white giraffes, which are super rare. According to National Geographic, a white giraffe had been spotted in Africa. Charles Foley of the Wildlife Conservation Society spent 12 years keeping an eye out for this special giraffe. By 1994 he had assumed it was dead, but later he found it again on September 13, 2005. Foley, however, thinks that this giraffe may actually just be a regular giraffe with a lighter pigment, but not an actual White Albino.
